Meet the Founder

James is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Manager with detailed and extensive practical experience of multi-discipline product development and product life cycle management, putting into effect a philosophy of continuous improvement, creation of best practices, programme management controls and organizational structures for the efficient and effective delivery for businesses across the world.

Qualifying with a BSC.(Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, James became a software and digital integration engineer as well as and IT network expert and Team Leader in the Defence sector at British Aerospace where a discipline of quality, development methodologies and critical product performance was reinforced and is now an integral part of his working practices. After 10 years James moved into the commercial sector of mobile telecommunication at Philips Telecom in 1994 as a Senior Systems designer, then Project Team Leader and Quality Manager on an MPT1327 analogue trunked system. After a spell as the Development department programme manager he then attained the key roles of the TETRA Infrastructure Product Development Manager followed by the Infrastructure Product Marketing Manager for Simoco Digital Systems which developed and deployed the first generation of TETRA based digital mobile radio system and pioneering the distributed TETRA Infrastructure architecture with IP based backbone connectivity which the majority of communication suppliers eventually replicated.

As Chief Operating and Technical officer for Simoco Digital UK and Artevea from 2002 he led teams designing, manufacturing, installing, commissioning and supporting customers for the advanced distributed architecture Tetra mission critical networks delivered around the world including Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe and Latin America.

While the main focus was on the Product and operational side of the business he also took part in external official TETRA interoperability test sessions as well as contributed to the Tetra Critical Communication Association working groups.

In 2012 James created his own consultancy specialising in Technology Reviews for customers and strategic plans for optimising what they already own or integrating/migrating to other technologies taking into account not only the equipment but the processes needed to change throughout the business. This is driven through a passion in helping others fulfil their own potential in business, knowing that his 30years plus experience will assist them in achieving this goal.

Always looking to continually improve and challenge himself, external to work he returned to the Trampoline in early 2000 as a senior coach and judge, encouraging gymnasts of all ages to find their full potential as he does with his business clients and colleagues. When asked about his achievements within the Trampoline Club he is quoted saying "It has it's Ups and Downs!"
